Very small, blurry, or heavily obscured faces may be skipped for accuracy. On the Free plan, results are also capped — that's the most common reason.

Face Recognition & Albums

Extreme angles, heavy blur, low light, or a very small face in the frame can all cause a miss. Re-running the scan sometimes helps as our models improve.

Every face is detected and matched individually, so a group photo appears in each matching person's group.

The AI compares hundreds of unique facial measurements, not just general appearance, so even close relatives are usually distinguished correctly.

This can happen with big changes in lighting, angle, or age across photos. You can merge the groups manually from the group menu.

Yes, click the group name and type a new one — it updates everywhere instantly.

Yes, open the photo and choose "Remove from group" — the photo itself is not deleted.

Yes, from the group's menu choose Delete Group. This only removes the grouping, not your photos.

Yes, that's exactly what a person group is — click any face to see every matching photo together.

AI Albums group photos automatically by the person, event, or date range they belong to, updating themselves as new matching photos are scanned in.

Privacy & Security

No, your facial data is never sold or shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yes, photos and facial data are encrypted both in transit and at rest.

Troubleshooting

Check your internet connection and firewall settings, then restart the app. If it persists, try scanning a smaller folder first to isolate the issue.

Duplicate detection compares visual similarity, so heavily edited or cropped copies may not be flagged. You can manually mark items as duplicates.

Large libraries take more memory during scanning. Close other heavy applications, or switch to Priority Processing with Premium for faster scans.
